Children & Family Privacy Policy
Our Family App is designed to let parents, guardians, and families control how minors participate, what they may access, and what information is visible.
1. A Family-Managed Service
Our Family App is designed for families, including households that may choose to create profiles or controlled access for children. Parents, legal guardians, and authorized Family Admins are expected to supervise minors and determine what permissions are appropriate.
2. Children Under 13
Special federal privacy requirements may apply when personal information is collected online from a child under 13. Where those requirements apply, a parent or guardian must receive appropriate notice and provide verifiable parental consent before covered personal information is collected, used, or disclosed.
Parents or guardians should create or authorize child participation and should not encourage a child under 13 to independently create an account or provide personal information without parental involvement.
3. Parental and Family Controls
Our Family App is built around family-controlled authority rather than assuming every user has the same permissions. Depending on the family's settings, a parent, guardian, or authorized Family Admin may control a minor's profile, login eligibility, chat access, visibility settings, permitted connections, or other features.
4. Information About Minors
Information about minors may include profile details, family relationships, photos, messages, calendar information, interests, or other content entered by the family. Families should avoid making sensitive information about children public unless they have carefully considered the privacy and safety implications.
5. Parent or Guardian Requests
A verified parent or guardian may contact us to ask about information associated with their child, request deletion where applicable, withdraw consent where applicable, or ask that further collection stop.

6. Social Connections and Outside Adults
A Social Connection is not automatically treated as a family member and should receive only permissions intentionally granted by the family. Parents and Family Admins are responsible for deciding whether coaches, teachers, babysitters, family friends, religious leaders, tutors, or other outside connections may interact with a minor through the App.
7. Safety
Our Family App can support family communication and safety practices, but it is not an emergency service, law-enforcement service, child-protection service, or substitute for direct adult supervision. If there is an immediate threat to a child, contact appropriate local emergency or child-protection authorities.
